Operations

Wes Lerch
Wes has over 25 years’ experience in personal injury law and insurance litigation.
He has acted for both injured plaintiffs and insurers alike, and his achievements during this chapter garnered frequent recognition by Doyle’s Guide as one of Queensland’s leading personal injury lawyers.
As the founding partner of a prominent plaintiff personal injury law firm, Wes worked with various medico legal providers and identified the need for a different and better approach to medico legal reporting. With this vision he launched VERIFY.
In 2024, Wes was appointed Queensland Delegate of the Australasian Association of Medico-Legal Providers (AAMLP) as he is passionate about giving a greater voice to medicolegal providers to better represent themselves and effectively communicate shared concerns to wider industry stakeholders.

Fruzsina Toth
Fruzsina Toth (Fruzsi) is warmly welcomed as the new Operations Manager at VERIFY. Building on the success of her implementation of a new project management software as Project Manager, Fruzsi is excited to continue to grow VERIFY's success in an operations role. She is dedicated to the constant improvement of VERIFY's service quality, business procedures and processes to enhance VERIFY's performance as a leading provider in the field.
She has extensive experience in business administration working in diverse corporate environments, including but not limited to small firms and large multinational companies. After obtaining her Bachelor's in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Public Relations and Marketing, Fruzsi went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in International Tourism and Hospitality Management from James Cook University Brisbane. Continually recognised for her academic achievements, Fruzsi is a valued member of the VERIFY team and looks forward to supporting our continued growth and success.

Spencer Winchester
Spencer Winchester is VERIFY’s IT Manager and resident tech expert. He has experience working in various levels of government, including the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Queensland Health, and the Public Trustee of Queensland. Spencer completed his Bachelor of Laws in 2021 and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2023. In 2024, he achieved accreditation as an AMA-5 Certified Impairment Rater and was admitted as a lawyer at the Supreme Court of Queensland. With a strong interest in legal technology, he leads the integration of tech solutions within VERIFY, while also serving as the in-house go-to for tech support.

Thanh Nguyen
Thanh Nguyen is a business student at James Cook University and combines her analytical skills with a passion for organisation. In her role as IT Coordinator at VERIFY, she supports VERIFY’s IT Manager and Operations Manager in achieving smooth operations through the streamlining of online processes, documents, and schedules. Thanh’s coursework in business intelligence and information systems equips her to tackle real-world challenges. Her talent for combining efficiency with attention to detail is evident in the execution of her administrative duties.

Richa
Richa is the Accounts Clerk at VERIFY, handling invoicing, reporting, and bookkeeping tasks. She has experience in both accounting and administration, having worked as a general administrator and accountant across various industries. Having recently completed her MBA-MPA, she brings strong attention to detail to her role and values precision and integrity, qualities that drive her interest in accounting. Outside of work, Richa enjoys sketching as a creative outlet.
Business Development

Sydney Shepard
Sydney Shepard is the Business Development Manager at VERIFY. Passionate about expanding VERIFY’s relationships with a range of clients and specialists within the medico-legal industry, Sydney’s previous work within VERIFY across the Reception, Bookings, and Quality Assurance divisions has equipped her with an encyclopaedic knowledge of VERIFY’s processes. She has an extensive marketing background through her work history across diverse sectors including sales, entertainment, event-planning, and the Queensland Department of Education. Sydney is committed to maintaining VERIFY’s quality of service to a standard unmatched within the medico-legal industry, with the ultimate goal of combining her marketing and education backgrounds to create innovative and impactful solutions for the medico-legal sector.

Tegan Bryant
Tegan Bryant is the Head of Learning & Development at the Australian Academy of Medico-Legal Education (AAMLE), the education division of VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2021, she subsequently attained her Graduate Diploma in Practical Legal Training from the College of Law in 2022. Tegan’s prior experience as a paralegal, law graduate, and personal injury lawyer have informed her keen grasp of the educational needs of young lawyers and legal support staff that intersect with the medico-legal space. In her role as Head of Learning & Development, Tegan is committed to creating accessible and engaging learning experiences that empower individuals to grow and succeed. In her own time, Tegan is an accomplished endurance athlete, having hiked Mount Everest Base Camp in October 2024 and recently completed her first half-marathon.

Lydia Campbell
Lydia Campbell is the Digital Marketing Coordinator within the Business Development team at VERIFY. Striving to improve the clarity, cohesiveness, and fluency of VERIFY’s digital and visual output is her primary motivation, and she enjoys continuously expanding her digital and creative skillset to address new challenges as they arise. She has previously worked as a legal secretary for barristers, and as a market research interviewer and general administrator. Lydia is passionate about information and media literacy, and in her down time she delights in listening to niche history podcasts and drinking far too many cups of tea.

Ellie Brown
Ellie Brown is the Business Development Assistant at VERIFY. Having attained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Justice – majoring in Policy and Politics – she has a keen understanding of the legislative underpinnings of the medico-legal industry, and her legal research skills are widely appreciated by the Business Development and QA teams, not to mention VERIFY’s education division, the Australian Academy of Medico-Legal Education (AAMLE). Prior to joining VERIFY, Ellie worked in a variety of customer service settings and additionally completed policy, law, and business and human rights internships. Professional talents aside, Ellie's knowledge of trendy-iced-drink-establishments knows no bounds – from soft-serve frappes, to matcha and beyond.
Reception and Bookings

Leilani Villatoro
Leilani Villatoro is the Bookings Supervisor in the Reception division at VERIFY. With a strong background in customer service and administration, Leilani brings a professional yet approachable demeanour to her role. Having achieved a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) and a Certificate IV in Justice and Criminology, Leilani has a particular interest in forensic psychiatry. Outside of her professional life, Leilani enjoys baking, photography, and staying active through fitness.

Jaynalyn Malijan
Jaynalyn Malijan (Jayna) is VERIFY’s Bookings Officer. She assists with essential administrative tasks, including sending booking confirmations, coordinating doctors' schedules, and ensuring seamless claimant communication. Jayna completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has experience working in human resources, focusing on recruitment and employee engagement, in addition to work as a corporate hospitality liaison. She is a Certified Human Resource Associate and is passionate about enhancing her communication skills and connecting with people. In her spare time, Jayna enjoys hiking, taking language lessons, and serving as a leader in her local community.

Timea Rucz
Timea Rucz (Timi) is VERIFY’s Bookings Admin. Well-travelled and worldly, Timi grew up in Hungary and has since lived in four other countries – the UK, the Netherlands, Indonesia, and now Australia. In 2024, Timi completed her MBA in Leadership & Change Management at Vrije Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, decorating, and time spent with friends.
Quality Assurance

Evie Le
Evie Le is a Quality Assurance Manager at VERIFY, where she oversees the QA team's delivery of accurate medico-legal reports and medical brief summaries. Evie brings extensive experience in marketing, management, communications, events, and administration, as well as certifications including the AMA-5 Permanent Impairment Evaluator from ACIME (October 2023). In addition, her proficiency with a variety of software tools complements her meticulous approach to upholding the highest standards in the medico-legal industry.

Ricaliza Perlas
Ricaliza Perlas (Liza) is the Offshore Manager at VERIFY. Liza holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and is completing a Juris Doctor degree. Previously, she gained valuable experience as a Legal Assistant at a private law office, reflecting her commitment to both language proficiency and legal studies. In May 2024, she was accredited as an AMA-5 Certified Impairment Rater. Liza is deeply passionate about fostering work-life balance and ensuring the well-being of her team to maximise productivity and ensure efficient and high-quality output.

Margaret Ann Fekete
Margaret Ann Fekete is VERIFY’s Quality Assurance Supervisor, having recently graduated from King's College London with a Bachelor of Laws in 2023 and completed the Legal Practice Course for England and Wales in 2024. Originally from northern Canada, Margaret combines her legal expertise with a love for adventure. Outside the office, you'll find her on the beach, playing football, or planning her next ski trip. She is excited to soak up the Australian sun and fully embrace the Aussie lifestyle.

Vidushi Gupta
Vidushi Gupta is a Quality Assurance Specialist at VERIFY and a final-year Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) student at Griffith University. She has gained valuable experience as a medical receptionist and as a secretary to an Independent Medico-Legal Examiner. Vidushi is an AMA-5 Certified Impairment Rater, showcasing her expertise in the field. With a strong passion for mental health, she actively engages in community volunteering, dedicating her time and efforts to make a positive impact.

Sharla Johnston
Sharla Johnston is a Quality Assurance Specialist at VERIFY. She holds a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours Class 1) and has extensive prior work experience as a medical receptionist and secretary to a psychiatrist, and in market research. The thoughtfulness that Sharla is known for in the office is also evidenced by her previous volunteering efforts at Brisbane Relief Hub, providing essential services to those most in need.

Isabel Chen
Isabel Chen is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY. Isabel is a fourth-year university student and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Behavioural Science/Law (Hons) at the Queensland University of Technology. Her previous work experience includes proofreading and administrative assistance within the medico-legal reporting industry.

Aki Tsimouris
Aki Tsimouris is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY. Known for her energetic nature and love of lists, Aki holds a Diploma of Paralegal Services and is experienced in managing people in fast-paced, customer service-centric settings. In her spare time, Aki enjoys fashion design and attending live music gigs.

Mel Smith
Mel Smith is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY, bringing four years of specialised experience in personal injury law to her role. With a strong foundation in legal processes and casework, she ensures the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of medico-legal reports that support complex litigation matters. Mel's background in personal injury law, including motor vehicle accidents, workplace injury, and public liability, provides a unique insight into the quality expectations of both legal and medical professionals. By meticulously reviewing reports for legal and factual integrity, liaising with experts, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables for clients, Mel ensures VERIFY’s standards are upheld and further strengthened. Outside of work, Mel is a passionate video game enthusiast, a hobby that mirrors her strengths in strategy, problem-solving, and focus.

James Heffernan
James Heffernan provides support to the Quality Assurance team at VERIFY in the role of Quality Assurance Officer. James is a second-year university student and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce/Law (Hons) at the University of Queensland.

Kimberly Patente
Kimberly Patente (Kim) is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY. With 2 years' experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant and a year as a Human Resources Specialist, her dedication and organisational skills are evident. When off the clock, Kim is actively involved in teaching children under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through her local church and singing in choir.

Zenuel Bermundo
Zenuel Bermundo (Zen) is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY. In 2023, he graduated with a degree in Education, majoring in Social Studies. He is passionate about administrative work, enjoys connecting with people, and has a keen interest in listening to unique stories. Zen is committed to excellence in his tasks, ensuring high-quality output and timely completion. He continuously enhances his skills through on-the-job learning, striving for personal and professional growth.

Eureka Sakamoto
Eureka Sakamoto (Eka) is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor degree. She contributes to the team with her keen eye for detail, precision, and clear communication. Outside the office, Eka spends her free time editing her school's law review, visiting neighbourhood cafes, and unwinding with yoga.

Jefferson Cortez
Jefferson Cortez (Jeffy) is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY. He holds a certificate in Mathematics and a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Legal Management. Jeffy’s prior experience in working at both a law office and a prosecutor’s office has cultivated his interest in legal and administrative processes, and he thrives on challenges and new experiences. Outside of work, Jeffy enjoys volunteering, running, calligraphy, and playing mobile games.

Madeline Cook
Madeline Cook is a Quality Assurance Clerk at VERIFY. Madeline is a second-year university student and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts/ Law (Hons) at the University of Queensland. In her free time, she enjoys playing team sports and going to the beach.
