Operations

Wes Lerch
Wes Lerch is VERIFY's Founder and Managing Director, bringing over 25 years' experience in personal injury law and insurance litigation.
Having acted for both injured plaintiffs and insurers, he was consistently recognised by Doyle's Guide as one of Queensland's leading personal injury lawyers.
As founding partner of a prominent plaintiff personal injury law firm, Wes worked closely with medico-legal providers and saw firsthand where the traditional approach to medico-legal reporting was falling short. That experience is what led him to launch VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, built on a clearer understanding of what clients need, what specialists require, and what the system demands from medical evidence.
In 2024, Wes was appointed Queensland Delegate of the Australasian Association of Medico-Legal Providers (AAMLP) as he is passionate about giving a greater voice to medicolegal providers to better represent themselves and effectively communicate shared concerns to wider industry stakeholders.

Fruzsina Toth
Fruzsina Tóth (Fruzsi) is the Head of Operations at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions and a valued member of the leadership team. Since joining the company as an Administrative Assistant, she has progressed through a range of leadership roles, including Project Manager and Operations Manager, giving her a unique perspective and a comprehensive understanding of the business. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to VERIFY's values and a strong ability to align operational strategy with the organisation's long-term objectives.
Fruzsi holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies, with a minor in Public Relations and Marketing, and a Master's degree in International Tourism and Hospitality Management from James Cook University. She combines strategic insight, operational expertise, and people-centred leadership to help drive VERIFY's continued growth and long-term success.

Spencer Winchester
Spencer Winchester is VERIFY’s IT Manager and resident tech expert. He has experience working in various levels of government, including the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Queensland Health, and the Public Trustee of Queensland. Spencer completed his Bachelor of Laws in 2021 and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2023. In 2024, he achieved accreditation as an AMA-5 Certified Impairment Rater and was admitted as a lawyer at the Supreme Court of Queensland. With a strong interest in legal technology, he leads the integration of tech solutions within VERIFY, while also serving as the in-house go-to for tech support.

Richa
Richa is an Accounts Officer at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, where she manages the day-to-day finance function, assist client account reporting and ensures accurate accounting records. With experience spanning accounting and administration across the various industries, Richa has developed strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Having a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Professional Accounting (MPA), she is committed to continuous professional development and delivering accurate, reliable financial information. She values precision, integrity, and process improvement in her work. Outside of work, Richa enjoys sketching as a creative outlet.

Sydney Shepard
Sydney Shepard leads Business Development & Marketing at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, overseeing the organisation's growth strategy, specialist engagement, marketing, industry partnerships, and educational initiatives. Having been with VERIFY since its formative years, she has played a significant role in the company's growth and development, gaining a deep understanding of the medico-legal industry and the needs of both clients and specialists.
With experience spanning Reception, Bookings, Quality Assurance, and Business Development, Sydney combines operational expertise with strategic leadership. She is responsible for driving business growth, expanding specialist networks, strengthening industry relationships, and identifying opportunities that position VERIFY at the forefront of the medico-legal sector.
Sydney holds a Dual Diploma in Business and Leadership & Management and is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Business Management through Queensland University of Technology (QUT), with plans to continue to QUT's Master of Business (Management). She is passionate about innovation, leadership, and building meaningful connections between the legal and medical professions.

Georgia Gowen
With more than 14 years of experience across the medico-legal and superannuation sectors, Georgia is an experienced business growth and relationship management professional with a strategic mindset and a strong track record of driving commercial outcomes.
An experienced people leader, Georgia has successfully led high-performing teams, built trusted relationships and developed strategic partnerships within highly regulated industries. Her career has been defined by a collaborative approach, commercial acumen and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
As Business Growth Manager at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, Georgia works closely with clients, and independent medical specialists to strengthen partnerships, identify growth opportunities and connect clients with high-quality medico-legal expertise. Georgia is passionate about building lasting relationships and delivering practical, client-focused solutions that support long-term success for the organisations and professionals she works with.

Thanh Nguyen
Thanh Nguyen is the Digital Marketing and Data Coordinator at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, where she supports the development and optimisation of VERIFY's digital presence through data-driven marketing initiatives and performance analysis. Her role combines digital marketing execution, data reporting, and insights generation to help identify opportunities, improve engagement, and support strategic business decisions. Thanh holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence and Information Systems, giving her a strong analytical, detail-oriented approach to her work. She is passionate about using data and technology to drive smarter, more efficient outcomes for the business.

Leilani Villatoro
Leilani Villatoro is the Client Support Supervisor at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions. With a strong background in customer service and administration, Leilani brings a professional yet approachable demeanour to her role. Having achieved a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) and a Certificate IV in Justice and Criminology, Leilani has a particular interest in forensic psychiatry. Outside of her professional life, Leilani enjoys baking, photography, and staying active through fitness.

Ruby Connelly
Ruby Connelly is VERIFY’s Client Support Officer. She is a first-year university student currently undertaking a Bachelor of Education at Queensland University of Technology, with the aspiration of becoming a primary school teacher. With experience across a wide range of customer service roles and previous studies in nursing, Ruby is passionate about clear, positive, and efficient communication to ensure all parties are satisfied and well cared for. Outside of office hours, she enjoys swimming, listening to crime podcasts, and occasionally expressing her musical side by playing the guitar.

Ruby Turner
Ruby Turner is VERIFY’s Client Support Officer. She is a second-year Science student at the University of Queensland, pursuing a career in clinical health. She is committed to supporting others and is motivated by ensuring everyone feels valued and supported. With strong communication skills and a compassionate nature, Ruby brings a thoughtful and supportive approach to both professional and everyday settings. Beyond her academic pursuits, she enjoys reading, socialising with friends, sewing, staying active, and shopping.

Naomi Wijedoru
Naomi is an Administrative Assistant at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, bringing a wide range of experience in administrative support and customer service to the role. A recent high school graduate, she plans to undertake a Bachelor of Laws at Monash University, with aspirations to pursue a career in Personal Injury Law. Naomi is committed to supporting colleagues and clients in a thoughtful and efficient manner to ensure the best outcome is achieved for all parties. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys staying active through a wide range of sports, spending time with family, socialising with friends, and listening to music.
Quality Assurance

Sharla Johnston
Sharla Johnston is VERIFY's Quality Assurance Lead, overseeing day-to-day QA operations, including proofreading, compliance checks, workflow management, and supervision of junior QA staff. She holds a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours Class 1) and has extensive prior work experience as a medical receptionist and secretary to a psychiatrist, and in market research. The thoughtfulness that Sharla is known for in the office is also evidenced by her previous volunteering efforts at Brisbane Relief Hub, providing essential services to those most in need.

Aki Tsimouris
Aki Tsimouris is a Quality Assurance Specialist at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions. Known for her energetic nature, keen eye for detail, and love of lists, she holds a Diploma of Paralegal Services and has extensive experience managing people in fast-paced, customer service-focused environments. Her dedication and strong organisational skills bring enhanced accuracy and a broad breadth of knowledge to the team. Outside of work, she enjoys fashion design and attending live music gigs.

Mel Smith
Mel Smith is a Quality Assurance Specialist at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, bringing four years of specialised experience in personal injury law to her role. With a strong foundation in legal processes and casework, she ensures the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of medico-legal reports that support complex litigation matters. Mel's background in personal injury law, including motor vehicle accidents, workplace injury, and public liability, provides a unique insight into the quality expectations of both legal and medical professionals. By meticulously reviewing reports for legal and factual integrity, liaising with experts, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables for clients, Mel ensures VERIFY’s standards are upheld and further strengthened. Outside of work, Mel is a passionate video game enthusiast, a hobby that mirrors her strengths in strategy, problem-solving, and focus.

James Heffernan
James Heffernan provides support to the Quality Assurance team at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions in the role of Quality Assurance Specialist. James is a third-year university student and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce/Law (Hons) at the University of Queensland (UQ).

Sophia Ryan
Sophia Ryan is a Quality Assurance Coordinator at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, where she is responsible for coordinating and managing medico-legal briefs. She works closely with Medical Specialists and clients to help maintain the accuracy and quality of reports. Sophia recently completed a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Queensland. Through her knowledge of the legal system, and history in customer service roles, she brings a thoughtful and detailed approach to the office. Sophia is motivated and passionate about open, clear and efficient communication. Outside of the office, she spends her time reading, hiking and baking.

Madeline Cook
Madeline Cook is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions. Madeline is a third-year university student and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts/ Law (Hons) at the University of Queensland (UQ). She contributes to the team with her eye for detail, clear communication, and commitment to excellence. In her free time, Madeline enjoys being active, spending time with friends and going to the beach.

Eva Tabrizi
Eva Tabrizi is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, where she supports the preparation and delivery of high-quality medico-legal reports. Working closely with medical specialists and clients, she helps ensure reports are accurate, compliant, and professionally presented. Eva is currently completing a double degree in Law and Business at Queensland University of Technology and brings years of customer service experience in fast-paced professional environments. She is recognised for her strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail. Outside of work, Eva enjoys reading, staying active, and spending time with friends.

Jordan Dennis
Jordan Dennis is a Quality Assurance Officer at VERIFY Medico-Legal Solutions, where he works to ensure the accuracy and integrity of medico-legal reports. He is currently studying for a Doctor of Medicine at Griffith University, with the long-term goal of becoming a Radiation Oncologist. Prior to joining VERIFY, he lived another life as a geophysicist, using the same principles as ultrasound to image geological structures. Outside of work, Jordan enjoys music, trail running, and hiking.
