Dr Michael Mar Fan

General & Colorectal Surgeon

Dr Michael Mar Fan is a General and Colorectal Surgeon, having graduated from The University of Queensland medical school in 1989 and completed his advanced training in General Surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital from 1993 to 1996. His post fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery, laparoscopic colon surgery, and colonoscopy from 1997 to 2000 took place in Singapore, Gloucester, London, and Edinburgh.

He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and his scope of clinical practice includes all facets of colon, rectal, and general surgery. Significantly, he is adept in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr Mar Fan’s medico-legal reporting experience is both extensive and highly regarded. He is a Master Certified Independent Medical Examiner (MCIME) and a Fellow of the American College of Independent Medical Examiners (FACIME).
