Dr Mark Richardson
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Mark Richardson is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in conditions and surgery of the knee. The focus of his practice is arthroscopy, reconstruction, and replacement of the knee.
Educated in Brisbane, Dr Richardson received his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1993, subsequently completing advanced surgical training in Queensland and being awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2003. Additionally, he undertook a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Iowa in the USA, including working with the University of Iowa ‘Hawkeyes’ college football team.
Dr Richardson is actively engaged in research in his orthopaedic areas of expertise. He has published peer reviewed articles in orthopaedics and has also contributed to medical education as a Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Queensland.
Dr Richardson’s decades of clinical experience, coupled with extensive medico-legal accreditations, including in the Queensland Guidelines to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (GEPI 2), provide a strong foundation for his work as an independent medical expert.
