Dr Keith Horwood
Medical Oncologist
Dr Keith Horwood is a Medical Oncologist who specialises in thoracic, women’s oncology and upper gastrointestinal cancer.
He graduated MBBS with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland in 1989 and obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Medical Oncology in 1997. He undertook further specialist training as a Fellow in Medical Oncology at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, New York, USA. He now practices as a Medical Oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Southport and Greenslopes Private Hospital.
With a strong interest in clinical research, Dr Horwood has held numerous senior clinical and academic appointments in Queensland, including Staff Specialist at Royal Brisbane Hospital, Director of Oncology at Allamanda Private Hospital, and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Queensland. He also has extensive trial experience across lung, breast, ovarian, colo-rectal and pancreatic cancers, has chaired the Queensland Lung Cancer Trials Group, and has authored or co-authored 18 peer-reviewed publications.
