Dr Amritash Rai

Dr Amritash Rai is a Senior Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over 17 years of experience consulting in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Australia and the UK, and more than 25 years of experience practising in Psychiatry.

Dr Rai sees private patients at Helix Health Specialist Clinic on the Gold Coast, as well as Main Street Medical Centre in Hervey Bay. He also sees children and young people via telehealth. He has held several senior positions as a Senior Staff Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the most recent being at Logan CYMHS for Queensland Health.

In addition to clinical work, Dr Rai has contributed extensively to psychiatric teaching and training, including previous involvement with postgraduate and undergraduate training in Queensland, and supervision of Basic and Higher trainees in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in both Australia and the UK.

With extensive experience consulting in both public and private settings, coupled with ongoing clinical practise, Dr Rai finds great fulfilment in working with young people and their families, and is keenly aware of the ever-evolving challenges children and young people face in their day-to-day lives.
