Dr David Hayes

Dr David Hayes is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, sports injuries and joint replacement. He studied medicine at the University of Queensland and trained in orthopaedics in Queensland, before undertaking fellowships in Adelaide and at Southampton in the United Kingdom.

His practice includes knee and hip replacement, arthroscopy of both joints, and soft tissue and bony reconstruction. Dr Hayes has published in peer-reviewed journals, presents at orthopaedic meetings in Australia and overseas, and has taught orthopaedic registrars.

Dr Hayes is a Director of Brisbane Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre and has led the Queensland branches of the Australian Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Sports Medicine Australia as President. He has extensive experience in medico-legal reporting, particularly for hip and knee conditions.
