Specialist Reporting Beyond the Examination
Our Services
Four Ways to Get the Specialist Opinion You Need
VERIFY offers a range of specialist reporting options, each designed to support your matter at the right stage and with the appropriate level of clinical input.

File Review
A specialist reviews the available medical records, imaging, and documentation and provides a written or verbal opinion on the clinical issues in dispute, without directly examining the claimant.
- The claimant is unwilling or unable to attend an examination
- The claimant is overseas, incapacitated, or deceased
- A preliminary opinion on available file materials is needed
- To assess consistency across existing medical evidence

Supplementary Report
A follow-up to an existing specialist report, addressing additional documents or materials received after the original report was finalised. May require a further examination if the new material is clinically significant.
- New medical evidence becomes available after the initial report
- A claimant's condition has changed since the original assessment
- Additional questions arise not addressed in the original report
- To respond to a report obtained by the opposing party

Teleconference
A direct discussion between the specialist and the instructing party, held by telephone or secure videolink, to seek preliminary clinical opinions, clarify findings from an existing report, or obtain specialist input without commissioning a formal written report.
- Seeking a preliminary opinion before commissioning a formal report
- Clarifying specific points in an existing specialist report
- Urgent specialist input is required on a time-sensitive matter
- General clinical discussion to inform litigation strategy

Expert Evidence
When a matter proceeds to hearing or trial, VERIFY arranges for the specialist to attend and provide expert evidence, in person or by secure videolink, including sworn testimony, cross-examination, and expert conclave attendance.
- Court, tribunal, or commission hearings requiring specialist testimony
- Cross-examination of the reporting specialist by the opposing party
- Expert conclaves or concurrent evidence sessions
- Mediations requiring specialist attendance or written conclave report
